I acquired a half bottle of this to examine vermouth and sherry wines in the context of creating cocktails. Here's the lowdown on this one - it's the best gin Martini vermouth I've encountered so far. It surpasses Dolin Dry, Martini & Rossi, Noilly Pratt, Cinzano, and numerous others. In fact, this is the finest Martini vermouth I've sampled to date. And that's after a lifetime of Martinis, by the way. It's absolutely perfect in a 3:1 ratio with Botanist and a few drops of saline. Nothing else is needed. Delicate, light, complex, and satisfying. This vermouth offers hints of cinnamon, sweet grains, spice, and green botanicals layered over a tart, complex Fino sherry. There are notes of lemon, baking spices, bittering agents, floral elements, and more. Everything is in harmonious balance, whether enjoyed chilled, on ice, or in a stirred cocktail. Impressive as a cocktail ingredient and quite palatable on its own. Highly recommended!
