This elegant Japanese Whisky, bottled under the Chichibu Golden Horse name, predates the distillery's own whisky production. Distilled by Toa Shuzo Co Ltd, which acquired the Hanyu distillery in 2004. This release marks the return of the traditional Golden Horse whisky, named after the renowned Samurai warrior Musashi, signifying their revival of this legendary spirit. It begins with a fresh, floral character featuring notes of lemongrass, dried flowers, and honey. Its rich middle adds malt, with hints of honey and lemon hard candy, leading to a sweet and spicy finish with notes of jasmine tea.

Color of Amontillado sherry. Nose: 23, Palate: 16, Finish: 18, Body: 16. The aroma upon opening was amazing: dried fruit, vanilla, and custard cream. It declined from there. The taste is slightly fruity, very dry. The longer it was open, the harsher and less complex the taste became.
