Nose: It carries that classic aged spirit scent; anything from before the 1980s has a distinct character, and this is no exception. Dark dried fruits and nuts. Some woody characteristics are also present. Palate: It has that old library taste, reminiscent of leather-bound books with antique furniture. More dark dried fruits with a bitter chocolate and nuttiness leading into the finish. Finish: That dark chocolate continues on the finish with some bitterness, but it is well-rounded with molasses and marzipan.
