About this bottle
Glenmorangie Pride 1981 is a limited-edition vintage single malt Scotch from the Highland region, distilled in October 1981. Initially intended for bottling in 1999, its maturation was extended. Dr Bill Lumsden selected rare casks from the renowned Château d'Yquem vineyard in France for a secondary maturation in Sauternes barriques, transforming the 18-year-old whisky into a 28-year-old. Only 1,000 decanters were produced, bottled at 56.7% ABV.
