Glenmorangie has collaborated with Dr. Bill Lumsden, Director of Whisky, and Japanese botanical artist Azuma Makoto for a limited edition 23-year-old whisky. This single malt draws inspiration from the Scottish Highlands distillery's environment. It is a blend of traditional Glenmorangie aged in bourbon casks and a portion of the distillery's initial spirit, finished in Chardonnay French oak casks from Meursault, Burgundy. The packaging features Makoto's botanical sculpture, Shinra Bansho. Bottled at 46% ABV without chill-filtration, it will be available at select retailers in the UK, China, Japan, Taiwan, India, and the USA from June 2024 for $1,350.
