About this bottle
A significant portion of Glenmorangie's 1975 vintage was intended for a travel retail exclusive release in 2001. However, the 1975 bottling that is part of the Glenmorangie 1970s Collection was bottled earlier, in 1994, at 19 years of age. A very small quantity was reserved for future special releases, marking this as the first time a whisky from the distillery's archives has been made available. (Note: This tasting is based on the closest available Glenmorangie bottling that Dr. Bill Lumsden could identify as a match to the '75 from the 1970s Collection, as none of the specific whisky was available for tasting.)
