I'm uncertain if it's because my perception shifts the more I sample, becoming more receptive to whatever spirit comes my way (in fact, based on experience, I should probably adjust the rating for this factor:-)) but the Glenlivet single cask series I'm exploring seems to improve with each bottle. Last time it was honeyed melon. This time, caramel toffee. Initially, I thought they all shared the trait of presenting their flavor profile upfront and then fading rather quickly, but once this one opened up, it truly delivered on that aspect. It's the first one that might actually offer good value for money in the range. Hmm, actually, after quickly checking the price online at $190, that's likely an exaggeration...
