GlenDronach Platinum 16 Year

My friends, guess what? I, a humble Ecuadorian, have had the privilege of visiting one of the world's greatest distilleries for a second time: the magnificent GLENDRONACH. I will now proceed to review some incredible whiskies I had the chance to taste, especially one that truly deserves the title of "the best whisky I have ever tasted." I'll begin my series of outstanding Glendronachs with a very difficult-to-find expression, one that was exclusively released for the Taiwan Market: the 16yo Glendronach Platinum. It's bottled at 48% ABV. On the nose, it starts with a perfect orange leaf note, followed by stewed apples, cream, cookies, and vanilla dough. After the first sip, the orange notes intensified significantly. Quite pleasant. On the palate, it starts a little thin, but then a very refined milk chocolate emerges. There's also lemon, vanilla cookie dough, and a citric leaf note. The finish was beautiful: ginger, chocolate, salt, and some sulfur notes. Balanced and delicious. Overall, this is a very expensive bottle that isn't overly complex but is definitely delicious. I must admit I've had better Glendronachs, especially within their core range. A very good dram that could have been considerably better. This is a very rare bottle, and I'm glad to have experienced it. My score for this beauty is 91 out of 100.
