About this bottle

The tenth bottling in the Grandeur series, this 27-year-old single malt was matured in some of GlenDronach's most aged sherry casks, specifically ex-Pedro Ximenez and oloroso sherry puncheons and butts. Introduced to the US market in May 2019, only 240 of the total 2293 bottles produced were made available.

Kiara Foust 5.0

While I thoroughly enjoyed this, it doesn't reach the heights of single cask bottlings or the 1989 29-year Kingsman. I can tell this was crafted more for those who appreciate pricey Macallans or King Louis XIII, whereas the single casks were aimed at connoisseurs. Nose: Raisins, Dates, Plums, Figs, Cloves, Blood Oranges, Dark Chocolate, Toffee, Maple Syrup, Violets, Cola Palate: Prunes, Figs, Dates, Raisins, Ginger, Christmas Cakes, Blood Oranges, Blackberry Jam, Walnuts, Nutella Finish: Figs, Dates, Prunes, Raisins, Mocha, Almonds, Ham, Cinnamon, Cloves, Nutmeg

This is exceptionally good. Not inexpensive, but absolutely worth the price!
