The Glendronach, a distillery established in 1826 by James Allardice and whose name translates to "Valley of the Brambles" in Scotch Gaelic, found that Spanish sherry casks complemented its Highland spirit. This 18-year-old expression is one of three principal single malt whiskies offered by the brand. The packaging was updated in 2024 to emphasize the distillery's practice of using Spanish sherry casks for maturation, specifically oloroso sherry casks for this bottling. The new bottles, presented at 46% ABV, will be purchasable in the US starting October 2024. (SRP $230.99)
