The tasting featured six drinks and a cocktail, exploring how colors influence our senses. It was an engaging and novel concept. Nose: Caramel, golden syrup, honey, cereal bar, honey nut corn flakes. Palate: Vanilla tablet, fudge, sweetened breakfast cereal, oak, faint smoke, buttery/oily texture. Finish: Medium-long. Saline, honey, vanilla, gorse. This is one of the most pleasing blends I've encountered in a long time. It has a delightful oily/buttery texture, with subtle wisps of smoke. Beautifully layered. While we did score the spirits, the variety of flavors made direct comparison challenging. Nevertheless, this was voted a joint favorite by 27% of participants, tied with two other drams.
