About this bottle

This single malt bottling is the second installment in GlenAllachie's 50th Anniversary The Past, Present, and Future series, honoring Master Distiller Billy Walker and his five decades in the industry. It represents 'The Present' and was initially aged in oloroso and PX sherry casks. Subsequently, the whisky underwent a finishing period in virgin Mizunara oak casks, which had a medium toast and char, for a total aging of 16 years. This marks Walker's first experience with the Japanese oak species. It is presented at 48% ABV, without any added coloring or chill-filtration, and had a global release in late July 2022, with only 2900 bottles produced.
