This is a light spirit despite its 100 proof. Initial notes of toffee and caramel give way to honey, floral elements, and fruit (closer to apricot and apple), followed by drier oak, hay, cereal, and faint leather. The finish is a bit more peppery than the original, with greater length. It's a respectable offering from the distillery, especially considering the price, providing good value. While not groundbreaking, it boasts a better ABV and finish than the standard version.
