Natural caramel color and excellent clarity. The nose offers fruit, vanilla, caramel, and a slight boozy quality. The initial taste is spicy, sweet, fruity, with a hint of vanilla. The finish concludes with an alcohol burn, leaving behind some smoke and peat, but not excessively so.

The nose offers rich fruit and mellow oak. The sip is outstanding, with sweet vanilla and robust oak, finishing with red fruit and currant. Easily one of the best single malts I've experienced outside of specific collections.
