Glenora Distillery, founded in 1989, produces Glen Breton Ice 10 Year. This single malt whisky was matured in ex-bourbon barrels and subsequently finished in ice wine casks, which gives it its name. Ice wine is a sweet wine made from grapes frozen on the vine. The whisky is bottled at 40% ABV.

I'm undecided about this one; I don't dislike it, but I can't say I enjoy it either. The aroma is distinctly ice wine, with an additional complex layer of apples and oak. So far, so good. The palate is where it begins to fall apart, just barely holding together with some caramel and spice, possibly cinnamon. The finish is pleasant and smooth, and thankfully brief enough to move on to a superior whisky.
GLEN BRETON RARE: a less impressive scotch offering. Underwhelming bottle and label, pale color, weak taste. Nose: peat, campfire marshmallows, butter Taste: thin and vegetal, sharp and bitter. long lingering finish of dark chocolate and cigar tobacco.
A sweet, spiced, and fruity whiskey. A rather lengthy finish. A pale golden hue. Initially, there's a vibrant and sharp sensation. Woody notes emerge at the end. This was a pleasant surprise. A quality whiskey.
Light amber appearance, with a faint wood aroma. Tastes woody, with a zesty and sharp finish.
Unremarkable flavor, smooth alcohol smooth finish. no smoke. overall pleasant.
