Imani Hickman 2.5

The initial aroma immediately presents a waxy note that remains prominent. Some sweetness attempts to emerge with caramel and vanilla, but the waxy characteristic persists. It smells unusual, not flawed, just peculiar. The first sip echoes the same experience. Waxy upfront, waxy in the middle, as if a candle had been melted nearby. It's not terrible, but it's distracting. Then, just at the very end, it finally resolves. Deep brown sugar, caramel, and vanilla appear late, as if apologizing for their tardiness. The finish is actually solid, I just wish it arrived sooner. Regarding pairings? Keep it very simple, or frankly, skip the cigar. This isn't a spirit to savor; it's more of a "well, I understand your intention" pour. In summary, Garrison Brothers Small Batch is drinkable but imperfect. The waxy notes significantly detract, even though the finish attempts to redeem it. Intriguing? Certainly. Enjoyable? Not to my preference.

Lewis Bruner 2.3

Not my preferred choice; the lingering aftertaste is noticeable.
