Smells like Honey Nut Cheerios. Sweet, but also nutty. Everything else is in the finish. It's rich and full, with an initial caramel honey hit, then all sweetness on the finish. A beautiful honey bloom that lasts forever. Texas doesn't know how to make whiskey, but this is fantastic.

About this bottle
The 2023 release of Garrison Brothers Lady Bird marks the ninth addition to the Texas distillery's offerings. It starts with their signature wheated bourbon recipe, aged four years in new white American oak. This is followed by an eight-month infusion with Burleson's Texas Wildflower Honey, and then a three-year finishing period in French oak Cognac XO barrels. Named for Lady Bird Johnson, who served as First Lady from 1962-1969, Garrison Brothers will donate $5 from each bottle sold to the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center. The launch occurred at the distillery on May 6, 2023, with a nationwide release in mid-May 2023, priced at $179.99 MSRP.

I have mixed feelings; the aroma is unusual after opening it. The taste is acceptable, but I'm still undecided about whether I like it.
Sweet, smooth considering the proof. Easy to drink. I would like to add this to my bar.
Sweet at the start. Smooth finish.
