Aroma: Toasted almonds, honey Taste: Spicy at first, then mellowing into rich caramel and oak Finish: Lingering honey with a maltiness reminiscent of a Bit O’ Honey candy *An excellent product from this distillery. The aroma was captivating from the start, but I suggest letting this sit in the glass for a short while before sipping. It truly helped to enhance its qualities.

About this bottle
The second release of Lady Bird begins with Garrison Brothers' standard Small Batch Bourbon, which spends four years aging in new white American oak. It is then infused with Burleson's Texas Wildflower Honey for 8-9 months, followed by an additional three years in French oak Cognac XO barrels. The bourbon honors Lady Bird Johnson, the First Lady from 1962 to 1969. Similar to the prior edition, Garrison Brothers will donate $5 from each bottle sold to the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center. The launch includes 1,000 bottles at the distillery on May 11, 2024, followed by a nationwide release of the remaining 6,002 bottles in mid-May 2024. The suggested retail price is $179.99.

It requires about 10-15 minutes to fully express itself in the glass, but once it does, you encounter powerful honey and sweet notes. —This was the first pour; I anticipate excellent things as it evolves based on its development in the glass—
Initial notes of Garrison Bros flavor followed quickly by a strong honey presence. Provides a wonderful warm sensation in the throat without any spicy burn.
Pleasant and delicious, a significant improvement over the previous year's offering.
