Appearance: Bronze color, viscous, coats the glass and clings. Aroma: Cherry, subtle melon, cinnamon, and oak. Faint vanilla. A very pleasant aroma. Taste: Oak, mild sweetness, initially below the stated proof (130+) and gains intensity as it finishes. Notes of paprika/pepper. A slightly dry, bitter finish, but not unpleasantly so for me. A quality single barrel, I enjoy it very much.
