A friend gave me this bottle from their local distillery. It's a fun craft find. It's fairly simple and tastes a bit young. It's smooth for a rye, with prominent tobacco, licorice, and black pepper notes throughout. There's a slight ethanol flavor upfront, and the finish is a bit short. The rye character emerges toward the end. It makes a great black Manhattan!
