The aroma is lively and abundant with charred oak, floral rye, a hint of spearmint, and vanilla, along with fresh fruit. While the aroma might seem a bit straightforward, it's very inviting. It's fresh, rich, and unmistakably Four Roses. The palate can be savored for a considerable time before a burst of black pepper erupts, energizing the entire mouth. Sharp oak and vanilla saturate the palate as rye spice emerges behind them. The rye loses its floral character and comes across as primarily spicy, yet despite its spiciness, it possesses a wonderful smoothness. The finish is lengthy, spicy, and very substantial. Oak and vanilla recede into the background as the mouth tingles with each sip.
