Found North Cask Strength (Batch 7)

Nose: It smells like breakfast, specifically blueberry pancakes with maple syrup and abundant butter. A rye-derived herbal spice is present, distinct from baking spices. The oak is quite pronounced initially, which is very pleasant. As it develops, hints of lightly charred marshmallow and honey emerge; it's delightful. Palate: Wow... all the aromas transfer to the taste, with an added subtle hint of orange creamsicle. Overall: Exceptional. The alcohol content feels closer to 115-120 proof. It has great viscosity and a medium to long finish. The complexity on both the nose and palate is remarkable. Truly outstanding.

“Another forgettable Canadian whiskey” This was meant to be the highlight of a bottle share, and all five of us were anticipating an accessible “Stagg killer”. We all agreed this was a major disappointment—the nose was non-existent, the palate was fairly average, and the finish was okay but brief. There was absolutely no indication that this was an 18-year-old product. Elijah Craig Barrel Proof surpassed this in every aspect. Hopefully, the remaining few ounces open up with some time in the bottle.

Exceptionally pleasing – corn and rye, aged and bottled to deliver full flavor. Notes of caramel, spice, baked fruits, and a gentle sweetness are present from the aroma to the conclusion.
