You'll find the typical profile of aged rye: aged oak, a touch of fruit wood, and perhaps a whisper of tobacco. It's quite sweet, sometimes excessively so, with a faint artificial undertone that thankfully doesn't detract. The aroma is wonderful. The mouthfeel is rich and enduring, lingering pleasantly. In summary, this is an excellent whiskey. It's not daring or unusual, simply very well-crafted.
