Flor de caña eco 15 yo

The aroma is of a freshly scraped vanilla bean combined with caramel and pineapple pieces. There is a subtle peppery note, but it is overpowered by the sweetness. On the palate, the vanilla is immediately noticeable. A burnt sugar follows, making the sip taste like a Creme Brûlée. The finish is rather swift but is extremely sweet. Subsequent sips introduce a hint of peppery heat to the throat with the sugars coating the teeth, causing salivation. This is considerably superior to the Flor de Cana 12 year. Outstanding rum. Neat in Costa Rica: Caramel, vanilla. Rich flavors. I prefer this over the 7 year.
