From a 2020 advent calendar: Aromatic notes of fruit and rye bread on the nose. The palate presented spicy rye and felt a bit strong. The finish was spicy and warm; the Chardonnay barrel aging did not enhance it, in my view.

A distinct rye. Lacks any spice. Exceptionally smooth with an intriguing sweetness derived from its white wine barrel aging...
The chardonnay cask mellows the sharpness typical of rye. Drinkable, but I don't think I'll get a bottle.
For a rye, there's not much bite. Not much going on to drink by itself.
Smooth and sweet, but it lacks character.
Quite strong
