It's not great, but it's not bad either. While that's a vague assessment, I can't really describe it any better. It's not a bourbon with a big flavor profile, but it's not unpleasant. It's quite smooth, with perhaps the slightest hint of vanilla. A touch of corn sweetness at the beginning transitions to a bit of bitterness or maybe eucalyptus on the finish, which is unexpected. I'm glad I tried it, but I likely won't purchase it again. There isn't enough time and too many whiskeys to explore.

Regrettably, I am not impressed with this bourbon. It's not particularly smooth for casual sipping. It performs adequately in a Manhattan, provided you add a generous amount of Sweet Vermouth, an extra dash of bitters, and serve it in a very cold glass.
Single barrel. Barrel #B/2/36 56.04 abv. Licorice, cinnamon, and oak in the aroma. Vanilla with light cinnamon and a touch of heat. Not bad at all.
Finished in French red wine barrels, providing substantial flavor upfront. A pleasant, crisp finish.
A nice new addition. Appreciated, friend!
Strong caramel. Peppery.
