FEW Single Barrel (VA ABC Store Pick)

Selected by VA ABC Store, Cask 17-3309 Initial aroma is caramel, followed by notes of toasted wood and spices. The taste presents pleasant toasted wood with accompanying spices. Later, licorice emerges, along with faint hints of cinnamon. The finish is rather brief, but the spice persists.

The aroma is predominantly vanilla, with hints of leather and smoke in the background. The palate was unexpectedly leathery, reminiscent of a single malt, but with more characteristic bourbon notes. The finish lingers on the tongue with a mild, pleasant warmth. This particular bottle was acquired at a Virginia ABC Barrel Pick event.
