From single barrel 363, barreled in September 2016 and bottled in September 2024 at 43.3% ABV. Drank neat. It has a pale golden straw hue and leaves light legs. The scent is subtle vanilla and mild sweet grain. The palate offers sweet grain, vanilla oak, and a touch of sour ethanol. Not very complex. The mouthfeel is thin. The finish reveals more oak and spice, yet remains thin and sweet. A minty tingle lingers at the end. Adding ice further dilutes it. I recall being very fond of this a decade ago; it was a more robust spirit with more personality. This particular bottling lacks that quality. It falls short of my memory of EW Single Barrel. It would likely benefit from a higher alcohol content.
