Vincent Baron 2.5

A blend of five grains: corn, wheat, barley, spelt, and rye. It was aged for 4-15 years in various barrels, including Virgin American White Oak, American White Oak, French Barrels, and a Sherry Barrel. Nose: Sweet, with notes of candle wax and children's breakfast cereal. It has a slightly artificial and rubbery quality. Palate: Tastes of barley, malt, and dried herbs. The mouthfeel is smooth. Dusty, woody notes are present. Finish: A medium-short finish. The aftertaste has a slightly sour quality, reminiscent of citrus peel. It's quite oaky as it lingers on the palate. This is my first experience with Austrian whisky. It does show the characteristics of a decent grain whisky. For my personal taste, I would likely prefer this with a mixer rather than neat, as it has a 'mixer's feel,' but it's not at all unpleasant.
