EFFEN Blood Orange

Nose: Zest of blood orange, grapefruit juice, sweet grain, black pepper, light vanilla, with a mild to moderate ethanol burn. Taste: Blood orange, salted vanilla, black pepper, orange blossom, sweet grain, a mild to moderate alcohol bite, finishing medium length with blood orange juice, orange blossom, and savory vanilla flavors. This is a well-made flavored vodka. The blood orange notes are perfectly balanced and integrated, without overpowering the overall profile. The nose leans towards a grapefruit citrus note, and the underlying grain character is still detectable. The palate is less zesty and more juicy, featuring a delightful creamy, salted vanilla flavor alongside soft, floral orange blossom. While I'm sure it mixes well, it's perfectly enjoyable on its own. On most days, I believe this would be a more appealing sipper than Jim Beam Original.
