This distinctive flavored vodka, Zubrowka Bison Grass Vodka, works very well in numerous cocktails and can provide an interesting variation on typical unflavored vodkas without being overly sweet or artificial. The aroma reminds me of a farm, with hay being the most noticeable element. The palate offers notes of coconut, lavender, vanilla, and a touch of sweetness. The finish leans towards sweetness, though it's not excessive, and there's no burning sensation. As a flavored vodka, this is among the best I've sampled. It's enjoyable neat and in cocktails, and I believe it's easily recommended as a standard bar item.

About this bottle
This Polish vodka, derived from rye, is flavored with grass from the primeval Białowieża Forest in northeastern Poland, a region inhabited by Polish bison. The grass is gathered, dried, and cut each June or July. Small batches of the dried grass are bundled and pressed through the vodka to impart its flavor. A single blade of grass is placed in each bottle. Note: In the United States, the vodka sold as "Zu Vodka" is artificially flavored because coumarin, present in the original, is not permitted.

You had me at “vodka that tastes like something other than ethanol”. The flavor and aroma are quite distinct… sweet, grassy, green, but also surprisingly… cake-like? I'm slightly put off by the idea that the version available in the US might have artificial flavors, but I need to investigate that before letting that accusation influence my judgment. Based solely on what I can taste and smell, this is a rare find: a vodka I would actually seek out and keep on hand.
An extravagant nose with aromas of honey, flowers, and cinnamon, presenting a robust bouquet that I assume is the bison grass – a truly unique aroma for a vodka. It has a rich yet mellow body, with sweet notes of honey, cinnamon spice, and bison grass. It's sweet and smooth, very flavorful, with a velvety, silky mouthfeel and a finish that is sweet, spicy, and floral. A genuinely unique and delicious vodka. Tasted chilled in a sampling glass.
I've never been a huge vodka fan, but its bison grass infusion gives it a very herbal and aromatic profile. It's flavorful and subtle, offering great potential for cocktails.
It's okay, just not really my preference. It has a very distinct herbal taste that might be the reason I dislike it, especially when mixed with anything other than apple juice.
This is wonderful. Delightfully sweet, but in a very natural, organic way. Very easy for sipping, and I think it would be a shame to mix it. It's on par with Haku.
