Immediately very wine-like and expressive on the nose, then an orange marmalade settles in with a very pleasant, rich, and grainy texture. Frankly, it's as good as a Sherry cask-matured Edradour (like the Caledonia), but in a more floral and delicately fruity version. The oxidative depth is reminiscent of the old world, damp earth dunnage warehouses, and historic pubs. Absolutely beautiful!
