The aroma has a funky sherry barrel influence, and the palate delivers long, smoky peat. It's not excessively sweet, which is a positive. I will provide an update after further tasting, as this was the initial pour from the bottle. After some time and oxidation, my appreciation for this dram has grown significantly. It transformed into a 'bandaid tire fire'! I'm quite surprised by how much it changed. I will definitely look for a second bottle in the future.
