E.H. Taylor Single Barrel 2021 Neat // Glencairn Nose: Cherry Vanilla Coke, alcohol sting, freshly ground black pepper Palate: Cherry vanilla cream saver, sweet oak. Very oily on the palate with a numbing sensation. Not particularly complex on the nose or palate. Finish: A dry finish, of medium length. Heavy cream, dried cherries, and subtle oak tannins. I would say this is superior to the standard EHT bottling, but it's not exceptional. $69 for a bottle seems a bit steep, but I would likely purchase it. The secondary market price is unbelievable considering this is a fairly average dram. If Buffalo Trace switched labels with Benchmark Full Proof, I believe we would all be more satisfied. 77/100 My scoring system: 59 and below: Poor. Not worth purchasing. 60 - 69: Acceptable, but with clear flaws. Might buy, but heavily dependent on price. 70 - 79: Enjoyable to good, worth buying, but nothing outstanding that amazes me. 80 - 89: Good to very good. Immediate purchases that I actively seek out. Must include some "wow" moments. 90 - 94: Excellence has been achieved. No discernible flaws, and every moment is pure delight. 95 - 100: This is where I rate my "best of all time" spirits. Similar to the lower 90s, but with an added tangible/perceptible element that elevates it.

I truly appreciate this bottle; this particular barrel seems more intricate than the 19 I possess. Excited to have found an 18.

Chandler Kaiser 4.5

What's not to love? One of the best you can get at its suggested retail price of $55. Never, ever pass this up at MSRP.

The finest thing I've ever tasted. Cinnamon sugary caramel with spice and all things pleasant

Dahlia Adkins 4.3

It bears a strong resemblance to Blantons, but with less sweetness. Quite commendable. The price is too high.

Shari Lucas 4.5

Initially sweet and caramel, with a slight spice at the end.
