I was pleasantly surprised by this bourbon, especially considering its price. I initially tried it with a large ice cube, then neat, preferring it neat though it was a little warm. The aroma has caramel, young oak, a bit of bread, and subtle hints of citrus, floral notes, and pepper. It leaves a dry sensation in the mouth. The taste is initially a bit strong and peppery, with somewhat burnt caramel, oak, wheat, hints of rye, possibly orange, and a touch of vanilla. The finish is a little insubstantial, with light caramel, light oak, and nutty notes. Overall, I like it for under $40 and at 101 proof.:)

I appreciate the 101 proof in this exceptionally well-balanced Bourbon. It presents itself as much older than its age suggests, without any of the "craft" characteristics of off-notes or re-distillation. It's an easy choice and a pleasant drinking experience.

Aubrey Mcmanus 3.0

It has a thick consistency, like a certain person's posterior. The initial flavor is good, but the aftertaste is a bit odd, almost like a scotch. There's very little burn, if any.

Brinley Lindsay 4.0

Herbal and spicy, it's fiery. It needs to be tamed.

Kathrine Yost 3.0

Vanilla on the nose. Potent. A long, lingering finish. Oaky.

Juanita Webb 3.3

Very smooth. Tastes older than it is.
