Strong alcoholic scent, a touch of vanilla, and a robust spicy aroma. The initial taste of sweet wine is rapidly overwhelmed by a blend of spice and warmth. The 'sting' from that warmth lingers on the palate for an extended period. I'm new to bourbon. This tasting review was from an undiluted sample, without any additions. Tried adding a few drops of water; it only affected the strong alcohol smell. The taste remained the same.
