About this bottle

Dingle Distillery's Samhain is a limited bottling marking the start of their Wheel of the Year Series, with eight releases planned. Samhain, observed from October 31st to November 1st, signifies the commencement of winter and the Celtic New Year, being one of the four principal seasonal fire festivals. This single malt spent its initial aging period in first-fill bourbon casks before undergoing a two-year maturation in first-fill Muscatel casks. Worldwide availability is capped at 10,000 bottles, with 1,500 allocated to the U.S. market, commencing November 2023. The suggested retail price is $150.

Tamia Cheung 4.3

A nose that is bright with fruit and a touch of smoke. It drinks very smoothly considering its higher alcohol content, providing a deep character to a grape-prominent single malt. The feel of autumn is clear, with flavors reminiscent of the harvest, including vine fruit, barley from the field, and malt, plus notes of aged wood staves. The muscat taste persists, with an exceptionally long finish that lasts for minutes. All in all, this is a distinctive Irish bottling that will satisfy both wine aficionados and whiskey fans.
