About this bottle

DIGITS Bourbon is the result of a collaboration between Dave Phinney, a Napa Valley winemaker and owner of Savage & Cooke Distillery, and former NBA champion Scottie Pippen. Named for Pippen's large hands, DIGITS is sourced bourbon from Tennessee and Indiana, aged up to five years. It completes its maturation on Mare Island, where Savage & Cooke is located, before being bottled at 92 proof.

Jose Whitt 3.8

The aroma features leather and spearmint. The taste brings sweet candied fruits and vanilla, with a light mouthfeel. This whiskey is quite smooth, which is fantastic. However, given the cost, I anticipated greater complexity. For individuals new to bourbon, its smoothness is ideal, but it might disappoint others. A cask strength or barrel proof version would be impressive.

Maeve Etheridge 3.8

Initially, it's surprisingly light on the palate, followed by a bite at the back end, which is understandable given the 92 proof and 5-year age. It tastes bright with hints of cinnamon and fruit. It's enjoyable, but there are other bottles I'd suggest for the price. Overall, it's easy to drink, but likely a single glass experience.

Alexandria Tice 2.0

A very light whiskey on the initial taste and on the palate. I detect a lot of burnt oak char. Some leather and fresh spearmint. Not a lot of depth here.

Kayden Fontaine 3.5

It goes down easily without ice. I suspect it would be too diluted if served with ice.

Curtis Montanez 4.0

Smooth, with a pleasant oak and peach aroma, finishing with a touch of cinnamon.

Otto Augustine 2.0

Lacking in flavor, no burn but an underwhelming pour.
