An important whisky from every perspective, starting with the beautiful bottle and packaging. Once the heavy metal-coated cap is opened, the nose reveals notes of dried fruit and dehydrated berries, along with pear and a slight brininess. The palate is a triumph! The texture is thick, almost like eating a cake rather than drinking a whisky: fig jam, coffee, milk chocolate, walnut and almond cake, all with a very powerful sherry undertone. The finish is majestic with sherry, chocolate, Nutella, and amaretto. Pure poetry, with no discordant notes in the aromas that blend into this masterpiece. Perfect.
