This is an intriguing tequila, showing considerable barrel spice and pepper. Nose: Vegetal notes, cracked peppercorn, oak, and vanilla. It develops and opens up further in the glass, creating a very captivating aroma for a tequila. Palate: Vegetal notes, with a similarity to the funk found in Islay or Campbeltown malts. Spicy black pepper and clean citrus are present. It drinks at its stated proof, though it feels somewhat diluted. Finish: Faint hints of vanilla, barrel spice, and pepper.

The aromas present a strong caramel and roasted agave character with hints of citrus, oak, and a floral, almost pollen-like quality. The flavors highlight roasted agave and citrus peels with touches of oak and pepper. Subtle fruity notes, such as banana and raisins, are also discernible.
A faint aroma of agave is present; it's quite pleasing. The initial sip has a noticeable sharpness and isn't exceptionally smooth. However, the finish is a surprisingly sweet delight, lingering and coating the lips. While not terrible, it's not something I'd likely purchase again.
Quite pleased with this overall; it's very smooth and has a pleasant finish. The blue agave flavor is prominent, which is most important to me. And considering the cost, it's hard to argue with.
A traditional Tequila featuring citrus and clove, among other notes. I'd gladly drink it again, though I'm uncertain if I'd choose this specific bottle over others in a similar price bracket.
