The Boinaud family has a long-standing tradition of distilling their cognac unfiltered. De Luze VSOP is a combination of distillates from Grande and Petite Champagne areas within Cognac.

Smells of overripe fruit and raisins. A slight spirit sting, or very sweet and almost slightly bitter. Pleasant aftertaste. A nice cognac, but a bit too sweet. Almost overripe in flavor.
The texture is a bit rounder and richer than the VS, with woody notes, a bit of vanilla, orange, and citrus. It has a pleasant length, and the alcohol is less noticeable on the palate than in the VS.
Smells sweet, spicy, and like caramel Tastes like caramel, sweet, and spicy. Sweet aftertaste.
The flavor is nice, but for me, it's a little too sweet.
Not too strong, a little sweet.
