Davidson Reserve Small Batch Tennessee Bourbon

It has a dark golden color, with abundant legs that appear quickly, leaving a nice film on the glass. The initial aroma suggests it's a bit unrefined, but it possesses a wonderful malty quality and the essential elements are present. The finish mirrors the nose; while tasty, it feels incomplete. A pleasant oaky and milk chocolate sweetness emerges mid-palate before giving way to a dry, almost bitter, barrel-dominated finish. They are on the right track, and with about 20 more years of practice, they will perfect this Tennessee whiskey.

Sweet and smooth, with caramel and a bit of molasses. It has a good body, and the sweet flavor persists throughout. Highly enjoyable!

Tastes immature and very grainy, despite having an age statement of at least four years.

A real letdown. A strong alcohol taste dominates. Doesn't have much substance.

Oak with smoke. Powerful, rough finish.
