About this bottle
Master distiller Richard Paterson created this bottling, introduced in January 2017, to commemorate his 50 years in the whisky industry. The whisky matured in various casks, initially filled into American oak ex-bourbon barrels in 1966. Subsequently, it rested in former Matusalem oloroso sherry and then colheita port pipes. The aging process concluded with a 50-day finish in Henri Giraud Champagne barrels. The presentation includes a crystal decanter by Baccarat, a display cabinet from bespoke furniture maker LINLEY, and a solid silver stag by Hamilton & Inches adorning the bottle.
