Nose: Toffee, mocha with a touch of hazelnut and mint Palate: Smooth and mildly sweet with caramel, red berries, and a nutty element. Finish: Peppery with a medium length It's interesting that my tasting notes align closely with the descriptions on the bottle. I wonder if I was influenced by what was already written? Regardless, it's a pleasant whiskey, and the 56.7% alcohol by volume isn't apparent until later; no water was necessary.
