Carmen Marvin 4.0

Nose: Orchard fruit, green notes, sweetness, spearmint, apple, vanilla, melon Palate: Woody, floral/gorse, mild spiciness / white pepper, coconut, caramel, grape, honeydew melon Finish: Medium-long. Oak, malt, char/ash, canned fruit, caramel sauce. A slight sourness in the aftertaste. This is a delightful woody, spicy, and caramel dram. It has a luxurious feel. Warming and slightly tingly. A very tasty little dram! It was the runaway favorite out of the six drams tasted, receiving 77% of the final vote for the night's favorite. 96% of those present indicated they enjoyed the whiskey. There were 11 bottles available for purchase via a lottery, and I was fortunate enough to get one.

Brett Walden 4.3

The aroma is dominated by very juicy, sugary green apple and vanilla. The taste is very sweet yellow pear with an oily mouthfeel. Adding water enhances the pear flavor even more, with a nutty feel and caramel. Sweet malt. It retains a Lowland character, without significant evolution, but it's a very classy execution.
