Dad's Hat/Liberty Pole Collaboration Rye (2025)

Nose: A collection of sweet and savory herbs. Lemon and lime peel. Orange marmalade. Toasted grains and rye. Mint dark chocolate. Maple syrup. Rich aged oak. A sprinkle of powdered sugar. Stewed cinnamon apples. It reveals more over time. Palate: Extremely oily and smooth on the tongue. Maple syrup and mint dark chocolate immediately coat the palate. Then comes dark rye spice, white peppercorn, and clove. Aged oak with soft tannins complete the sip. Drinks smoother than its proof suggests. Finish: Mint dark chocolate, maple syrup, and soft oak tannins persist for a considerable duration. Summary: Sometimes two whiskies complement each other perfectly, creating something truly exceptional. This is precisely that situation. Without question, one of the finest two bottles I've ever had. While it may lack the age or prestige of some other bottles, it remains a special occasion bottle, meant only for sharing with very close companions.
