Appearance: Clear. Aroma: A crisp, pine-scented resin fragrance. It's less full and rounded than some other mastika, but perhaps more intricate. Flavor and Texture: A sweet yet not overwhelming initial taste, followed by a fresh, piney, and almost spicy flavor. It's light and crisp, yet still clearly displays the characteristic notes of mastic frankincense and myrrh. Overall, it has a sweet and subtle fruity/herbal resin presence, with an almost chewing gum-like aftertaste. This is another very pleasant mastika. It's produced in small batches by a family business located just outside Athens, using a 19th-century recipe. The primary ingredient, naturally, comes from Chios. It's a quality product, definitely worth trying. “Good”: 84/100 (3.75 stars)

Up to this point, this is the finest Mastic Liqueur we've ever sampled! We purchased a bottle in Mykonos that we consumed while continuing our travels in Greece, so yes, we may be entirely prejudiced, but later our relatives brought us a bottle to Canada, and it was still just as good! The mastic flavor is bold, sweet yet well-rounded, very distinctive, and authentic.
