Crimson Rye Whisky derives its name from the hue it acquires after primarily maturing in ex-Pinot Noir casks. This rye is produced from a mash bill made entirely of 100% rye grain. The whisky is crafted in small batches and is not chill-filtered.

A bit too sharp for my preference. However, it paired excellently in a Manhattan with the house-made cherry bitters. I believe a bit more aging could benefit this one.
Under-aged; the pinot noir contributes more color than flavor (a slight wine character on the palate). The finish is very oak-forward, almost like tasting sawdust. Definitely not worth the price!
