Creek Water 100 Proof American Whiskey

A- pale gold in a cool bottle. Nose: It smells of grain. Corn, wheat, light barley. Somewhat peaty or grassy. Palate: I drank this over a couple of ice cubes. Silky smooth with no burn. Like consuming chilled, slightly murky water. Taste: Water, peat, fresh wood. Very earthy. Hints of limestone. Smooth, no burn? This is unlike anything else. It's not a sweet, caramel, vanilla bourbon. It genuinely tastes like spiked, impure spring water. It's not unpleasant, but it will certainly be unusual for most people's expectations. Overall: It tastes like its description. Dirty water. Plenty of earth and grain. The big surprise is that at 100 proof, the burn is present but subdued and fades quickly. It's remarkably different. Best served chilled.

The aroma is of cinnamon and sugar. The taste is of vanilla frosting, with cinnamon raisin bread. The finish is very brief. Overall, this is a quick indulgence. Nothing intricate, just a pleasant sweet whiskey to enjoy. It's certainly different, but drinks below proof and is somewhat enjoyable.

The aroma is by far the best part, aside from the cool bottle. A bit of sweetness, but nothing special. The ONLY taste was like paper…nothing else. Just really bad. Not like Cassius Clay cat piss bad but definitely a drain pour. Glad I only paid $8 on clearance.

If you enjoy the smell of gasoline, this is for you. It has a scent of marshmallow and charred wood, followed by a powerful ethanol taste. The burn persists unpleasantly throughout the entire experience.

The aroma is almost nonexistent, with only faint traces of marshmallow and cream. The initial taste is light caramel that shifts to toasted almond. The finish features marshmallow and charred wood, leaving a lingering alcohol warmth. You wouldn't guess this was 100 proof.

Strong marshmallow notes accompanied by an intense ethanol burn. This whiskey is truly dreadful, and given its price, it's absolutely not worth purchasing. I only sampled it because I recently relocated to N.C. and want to try all the local whiskeys.
