About this bottle

Berry Bros. & Rudd, a UK-based merchant, includes Craoi na Mona in its expanding spirits collection. This single malt Irish whiskey, whose name means "heart of the peat bog" in Gaelic, was aged for 10 years in American oak casks. It then underwent a finishing period of several months in Scotland within casks that previously held heavily peated Islay malt. The whiskey is bottled at 46% ABV without chill-filtration or added color.

Annie Cano 4.5

Smoky and charred wood on the nose. Smells natural and fresh, like newly cut grass. A smooth, earthy taste with smoky undertones and a citrus zest. The smokiness recedes in the long finish, allowing the citrus to emerge.

Brittney Ortega 3.0

My first experience with Irish whiskey. It's harsh and the peat doesn't balance it out. It has distinct banana and powdered sugar notes, but ultimately, it wasn't for me.
